The Noon Prayer Group meets every Wednesday.
A Seniors' Tea Group meets once a month for fellowship.
Greeters/Readers/Organists/Intercessors/Chalice/Bearers/Ushers are organized through a roster that

Church School - St. Matthew's has a Sunday school program with a Coordinator and several
alternating teachers. Church school is provided for ages 3-19 with approximately 15 children
on an average Sunday. A nursery service for children up to the age of 3 years is also
provided. The youth have been active Sunday services in the following ways: reading,
administering the Chalice, dramatic presentations, and leading Prayers of the People.
Outreach Committee - Four members meet monthly to plan and carry out research into possible
topics and speakers for the Outreach Services; these have included: Habitat for Humanity,
prison ministry, poverty, child hunger,
AIDS, Medicare, PWRDF and third-world debt. The Outreach Committee also works with the
neighboring United and Roman Catholic churches to organize an annual ecumenical workshop
on global justice. Parishioners are encouraged to take further action on justice issues,
such as attending conferences and writing letters to the appropriate authorities.
Refugee Committee - Members work closely with the Diocesan Refugee Committee. In 2001, we
donated $2085 through the Refugee Fund to assist an Afghan refugee to become a
landed and are presently assisting members of another refugee family with casual employment.
Worship Committee - Three members, including the rector, meet monthly to plan the liturgy for
the services, including special services at Easter, Pentecost, Advent, Christmas and Lent.
