Resolutions from an extra-ordinary synod. - January 2003

An extra-ordinary synod was held in January of this year. The following resolutions were were passed.

1. That the Synod of the Diocese of Saskatoon accept the terms of the Settlement Agreement negotiated between the Government of Canada and the Anglican Church of Canada, and further, that the Diocese of Saskatoon agree that its portion of the Settlement be $298,000, payable in quarterly installments over a period of 5 years.
2. That the $298,000 be paid from reserves.
3. That a general appeal, with a target of $298,000, be made to all parishes and identifiable givers in the Diocese, for the recovery of said monies, and for the ongoing missions of the Church, and with an invitation to those willing and able, to contribute.
